Create a lasting legacy
Bequests can take various forms, such as the residue of an estate, a fixed sum of money, or a percentage of assets.
It is important to remember that your loved ones should be your first priority when making a Will, and to discuss your wishes and reasons for leaving a gift to United Way Glenelg with them.
Making a will is an important thing to do – it gives you the opportunity to safeguard what is important to you and how you want your assets to be managed.
You can leave a gift specifically for one of the following purposes:
Community Fund: By leaving a gift for the Community Fund, you enable United Way Glenelg to make the most of your contribution by using it towards the projects with the highest priority at the time of the gift.
Dolly Parton Imagination Library: Gifts directed to the Imagination Library will enable United Way Glenelg to give the gift of a book every month a simple first step towards. A child’s future.
Begin your own Fund: Set up a fund in your name and leave an on-going legacy to the community.

Including a gift to United Way Glenelg is one way to continue your support.
You may find the following words helpful for inclusion in your will. However, it is important to see your legal advisor before you do so.
Our promise to you;
If you choose to leave us a gift in your Will, we promise to:
- Honour your wishes.
- Respect that a decision as important as this needs time – how and when you choose to write it is personal to you.
- Understand that you might change your mind – circumstances can change, and you have the freedom to reconsider your decision at any time.
- Honour your privacy – we would like to acknowledge your generosity but will only give you the recognition you are comfortable with.
- Ensure your gift is used in the most effective way.
- Continue to communicate and update you with the latest information on our programs and achievements.
