Supporting Our Community

United Way Glenelg host a series of events each year.
The purpose of these events is:
  • To educate the community about the work of United Way Glenelg.
  • To celebrate the volunteers, individuals and businesses who are making a difference in our community.
  • To raise funds to help us continue our work in supporting the community.

You can help by attending or hosting an event, organising your own fundraising activity or simply by spreading the word about the huge difference we make throughout the Glenelg Shire region.

Read Across Glenelg

To mark Children’s Book Week, Portland Aluminium employees go into all Primary Schools across the Glenelg Shire region to celebrate the importance of reading aloud.

Portland Aluminium employees will read “Something Wonderful” by Raewyn Caisley and Karen Blair to children in foundation and encourage families to continue reading to their children as their imaginations grow.
